The National Youth Conference (NYC) is a gathering of United Methodist Youth leaders from all over the Philippines. This is an event where young people and youth workers share, learn, plan and have fellowship with one another. The NYC is the supreme deciding body of the UMYFP. It is convened once in every two years during summer time. It is composed of young leaders coming from the 24 annual conferences of the Philippines Central Conference. It is open to all young leaders and youth workers; however, only the voting delegates may vote during the conference proper. The NYC is a time for the Fellowship to study and plan the program thrust of the National UMYFP; to elect the National Executive Committee; to hear reports from the national level and annual conferences; and to amend the constitution and by-laws. This year is another historic event for the NYC because of the ratification of the new constitution. Since the Philippines is an archipelago with diverse culture, the NYC has been one of the venues for young people to learn and interact with each other with the aim of bridging cultural differences and backgrounds in the service of God’s ministry. Our goal and vision is not only to meet for conferencing and adopting program thrusts but to empower young people to become active participants in Jesus Christ’s ministry on earth. Registration Fee: PhP1200 youth, PhP300 youth worker Half of the registration fee shall be paid on or before January 8, 2010.
